In The Case of Raghubar, Raghubar is the very child that has learning disability so that he cannot behave as expected at home on the one hand and he lags behind his classmates at school on the other hand. However, his mother is not sure of his having learning disability in the first beginning and she is only doubtful about it. There is no doubt that Raghubar’s mother has to pay more attention to her son in order that he can learn the same as other normal children, which is right why Raghubar’s mother chooses to visit her son’s teacher-to-be before his formal schooling began. Case Analysis
Raghubar’s learning disability makes it difficult for him to listen well either at home or learning at school. Learning disability is a neurological disorder that results from a difference in the way a person’s brain is wired. Compared with others that have no listening disability, the ones with learning disability may be weaker in listening while they may be as smart or smarter than their peers in many other aspects. Or maybe it can be put in another way that people with learning disability can as well achieve in a certain aspect and they can still become a talent in the end. Thus though Raghubar may have listening disability, it won’t influence his future as long as he can conquer everything and his mother can accordingly treat his symptoms.
Alternative Solutions
As for the solutions that can be used to deal with Raghubar’s listening disability, the first one that I would like to put forward is that Raghubar’s mother can choose to let her son study at a special school, which is established for children with disability in one or another aspect. Concerning this solution, the advantage is that Raghubar won’t have too much pressure out of his lagging behind his classmates at school and the teacher won’t feel too exhausted in educating him. In the meantime, what Raghubar’s mother can do is to let her son still study at the normal school while she has to pay more attention to her son in order that he won’t lag behind too much at school. When it comes to this solution, the strength is that Raghubar can still be regarded as normal children and he won’t feel that he is abnormal. In this way, he can grow up as a normal person. At the same time, he won’t feel distrustful toward his mother because his mother would like to treat him as a normal child all the same. However, the weakness of this solution is that there are really many efforts have to be made in order that Raghubar can smoothly learn well at a normal school. Consequently, Raghubar’s mother really has to do a lot for her son at last.
Recommendations
What would be suggested is to let Raghubar study at a normal school and Raghubar’s mother pays more attention to her son. In so doing, the promising future of Raghubar can be better guaranteed. The first tip that Raghubar’s mother has to know is that she has to take charge of her son’s education. And then what will be proposed to Raghubar’s mother is that she has to identify how Raghubar learns best. Thirdly, Raghubar’s mother should think life success instead of school success and emphasize healthy lifestyle habits for her son (Helpguide.org. 2018).
