When learning a new language, grammar can be tough and Chinese is no exception. Although similiar to English grammar in many ways, Chinese grammar can be less rigid and at times even seem vague; due to things like a lack of conjugates, or the habit of dropping subjects. There also some grammar forms in Chinese that have no equivalent in English.
In order to help the Mandarin Chinese or Cantonese learner get through these tough spots -and you will, so don't give up- we are putting together a list of grammar explanations for students to use. If you have a general grammar type question, feel free to contact us and we will do our best to answer you: We might even make a webpage about your question.
Check back regularly, Chinese grammar pages are frequently added.
