But these bad luck is not because of what they did wrong, but only because of their discrimination against whites. The legendary experience is a major feature of the film. However, the film emphasizes the evil of slavery, not the slave-owner's evil. Solomon, once worked as a slave in three farms, which had brought no beneficial change to Solomon's destiny. It described slavery as social death which included the threats, affects, and experiences that related to the conditions of being single(Williams, 347).Therefore, one of the main theme of the article is to describe the evil of slavery. However, he was lured into a dark place and after experiencing a series of bloody violent incidents and been flogged again and again. But he never really forgot his beliefs by reality and darkness.

And the evening before the ball they ate in a restaurant in the warm hospitality with Solomon, and finally drunk him. The turning point of the story came, when Solomon woke up from his sleep, but found himself in rags in a closet, whose hands and feet were restricted. Thus, he shouted for help, but no one responded . What impressed the viewers most is how Solomon fought against the destiny and regain freedom. When Solomon arrived at the slave market, no one responded to the name of Platt when the traffickers read the names. At this time, the protagonist is not only facing the loss of his own free rights, but also the deprivation of his name. However, he is still looking for opportunities to find freedom.
